Connection has always been at the heart of who I am—connection to people, community, and the natural world. I’m drawn to the strength of others and the ways people overcome adversity, especially during times of loss, transition, or uncertainty. This appreciation and regard for human resilience has led me to become a therapist.

I hold a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Central Connecticut State University, with a specialization in Family Systems. For over 30 years, I’ve worked in community mental health in Washington, D.C., supporting underserved populations—first with youth, and now with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and the many challenges life presents.

My approach is grounded, relational, and culturally sensitive. I integrate Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, along with somatic practices and attention to the healing power of nature, movement, and nutrition.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent three years in Latin America, becoming fluent in Spanish, volunteering at a women’s health center and engaging in human rights work. These experiences continue to shape my deep commitment to social justice.

Outside the therapy room, I find joy in biking, yoga, travel, and spending time with family. I enjoy reading, lively book club conversations and am always on the outlook for a good read!
